A vast tide of poisoned crabs and lobsters washes ashore where the Tees meets the sea in North East of England. A veteran fisherman becomes the unlikely leader of a grassroots campaign to uncover the reason why, and fight for his community's future.

About The Event
This is a special preview screening!
We are very grateful to director Jeanie Finlay for giving us early access to this film - in order to show it to the Falmouth community as early as possible as part of the need for more community involvement around the dock redevelopment plans.
This film tells a story from the fishermen based in the North East of England, around Teesside and how their industry was wiped out from a mysterious event affecting the local crustacea. Nothing can be proved, but a strong concern lies around the dredging activity that took place directly before the mass die off...
We want to use this film as a potential parallel to what might happen to our historical oyster beds here in Falmouth.
We also want to use this film as another stepping stone to understanding the true origins of this development and the actual benefit to local residents along with the potential negatives.
We'll be inviting a range of people from our community, from Balaena (dock owners), to Jayne Kirkham (Falmouth MP) to the fishermen, the campaign group 'STOP THE DREDGE' and of course the local public who live, work and love what Falmouth has to offer.
Stop the dredge will also be organising a raffle to raise funds for their crowdfunder, a big part of which will likely be going towards an independent review for further scientific water testing and environmental impacts of the proposed dredging activity.
We will update this and offer more info as we get closer to the event.
