🧑‍🌾Derek vs Derek is an award-winning feature documentary and global impact campaign tackling one of the most urgent challenges of our time - how can we farm and restore nature simultaneously?

🐄Derek Banbury is an advocate for intensive dairy farming; doing his bit to feed the nation.

🐗Derek Gow is giving his entire farm over to nature; rewilding it into an oasis for wildlife.

Tempers fray, wild animals escape, and the land between them is inevitably transformed.

Location:

Join us at the incredible rewilding project of Ambios (situated on the Sharpham Estate in Totnes), to breathe, watch, discuss and eat together in the unique 99p Films model.

We hope to discuss with you what the future of our countryside might look like, and how we all have a say in changing the story- from division, to understanding.

Feast:

Our food this evening will be cooked by Sima from @thekitchentabl, (who also cooks for Ambios' Breaking Bread events) using produce from the Ambios garden and other British grown ingredients. This evening will be not only about discussing how farming can be done better, but championing those that already do great things for all of nature (including us!).

⏰Schedule:

5:30pm - Doors open. 

6-7pm - Feast.

7-9pm - The screening. We will start with a guided breath work to settle the room, followed by a screening and group discussion.

🏡Housekeeping:

Warmth: We will be watching this from a barn on the Ambios site so dress warmly, bring blankets! Hot drink will be sold at event.

Parking: Please note that parking at Ambios is for blue badge holders or those with additional mobility requirements only. 

We kindly ask everyone else to part at the Natural Burial Grounds nearby.

If possible, please consider lift-shares as we encourage low CO2 emissions and high community connectivity!

DIRECTIONS:

Sharpham Meadow Natural Burial Ground, for sat-navs, use the postcode TQ9 7DX, which is for Higher Sharpham Barton but be aware that the burial ground doesn’t have its own postcode. 

From the A38/Devon Expressway, take the Totnes/Buckfastleigh exit onto the A385. On arriving in Totnes, just before the railway station turn right at the traffic lights onto the Western Bypass/A381 towards Kingsbridge. 

Half a mile outside Totnes, turn left to Ashprington. About two miles later, there you’ll reach a crossroads signposted ahead to Ashprington, right to Bow Bridge, Tuckenhay & Cornworthy and left to the natural burial ground.
