Join Voices of Water Guardians and Wildlife Groundswell for a Rights of Nature event weaving science, story and ceremony to honour the Helford Riverscape.

About The Event
Voices of Water Foundation have invited some special guests to put on a collaborative event on the banks of the Helford River.
Weaving ecology, philosophy, folklore and ceremony, come and be guided on a journey of what it means to relate to the more-than-human.
Get to know the salmon and eel better through a new imagined folklore made by Bella and Hannah, and hear from Em (founder of Voices of Water) who will encourage us to change the way we speak about nature, in order to protect and regenerate it.
All proceeds go towards supporting Voices of Water to deliver youth guardian days, inspiring young people to value and take care of nature.
Join us for a special event supported by Wildlife Groundswell, Amy (who works with foraged clay) and 99p Films.

1:30 pm - Welcome + opportunity for tea+ coffee from Gweek Village Store
2pm - Introductions (led by Voices of Water)
2:10pm - Short walk to Gweek Green
2:15pm - Grounding mindfulness moment with trained practitioner.
2:20- 3:30- Folklore retelling weaving together the European Eel and Atlantic Salmon as guardians of the riverscape.
3:30pm - Wild clay ceremony of returning fish to the river.
3:30-4pm- Rights of Nature and Power of Words talk.
4pm - Story-making and letter writing, connecting with the river.
4:45pm - Tanya to lead a closing meditation.
5pm - soft close.
